The Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe station at Pasadena, originally built in 1935. Served the Super Chief, El Capitan, and other Santa Fe passenger trains, and was billed by the railroad as the “Gateway to Hollywood”.
The Santa Fe would turn the station over to Amtrak in 1971, who used it as a stop on the Southwest Chief until the line was rerouted in 1994. The old Pasadena depot is now part of the Metro Gold Line’s Del Mar Station, and serves as a restaurant.
