An Amtrak Cascades train passing through White Rock on its way to Vancouver, BC, from Seattle. This engine is known as a “Cabbage.” There is a cab but no engine inside. Instead, it’s been gutted and turned into a baggage car.

Clocktower of Union Station in Portland, Oregon, which is served by Amtrak’s Coast Starlight, Empire Builder, and Amtrak Cascades trains. The neon signs that read “UNION STATION” and “GO BY TRAIN” are lit up at night.

Seattle’s King Street Station with emphasis on it’s clocktower. The tower is a replica of St. Mark’s Campanile in Venice, Italy. At foreground, renovation work continues at the station, which is served by Amtrak and Sound Transit trains as well as Northwestern Trailways and Cantrail buses.
